What the Customers Say...
"The slideboard we purchased from Varisport, the Ultraslide®, has been an exceptional adjunct to all the other dynamic treatment tools we are now using in our organization to provide optimal outcomes for our patients and give our therapists and their patients fun alternatives to traditional methods of exercise and/or rehabilitation. The slide board is convenient for many patients and is relatively inexpensive for facility and patient use."

Physical Therapy
ULTRASLIDE® slideboards are the choice of physical therapists, athletic trainers, and physios worldwide to address a variety of rehabilitative needs. These practitioners are able to clinically simulate sport-specific movements on the Ultraslide, while helping the patient regain balance and stability that may have been lost due to injuries. Sliding on the Ultraslide is one of the most common and effective forms of rehabilitation after ACL surgery, and studies have shown that lateral sliding appears to improve post-surgical knee extension strength. Since medial ligament damage sometimes accompanies an ACL tear, inner thigh strengthening is an important part of this rehabilitation; the inner-thigh is an area that sliding on the Ultraslide targets very effectively.
ULTRASLIDE® boards are found in a variety of PT clinics, athletic training rooms, and hospitals worldwide.
Lateral slide training strengthens the muscles that support the knee ligaments. These muscles stabilize the knee and prevent injury. Some physical therapists, according to an October, 2000 article in the Journal of Orthopedic Sports Physical Therapy, use slide board training for rehabilitation after anterior cruciate ligament surgery. Since medial ligament damage sometimes accompanies an ACL tear, inner thigh strengthening is an important part of rehabilitation.
